The .44 Magnum are also having quite decent rates. These bullets can travel up to 2500 yards in range and have 1760 ft/sec as muzzle velocity.
How Does an Armor Vest Stop a Bullet?
Bulletproof armors are made by adding a layer of bulletproof fibers like Kevlar. When a bullet is shot into the armor, the energy of the bullet got disturbed and dissipated. These armors are varied by the levels of protection by the NIJ standards.
Level II and IIA armors give decent protection against the 9mm bullets. Also, .40 S&W and .357 Magnum bullets are stoppable.
Level IIIA armor gives protection against .357 SIG and with .44 magnum. It is a soft armor type and offers extra protection than the level II and IIA armor.
Level III armor contains metal plates to withstand the rifles bullets. These armors are considered hard armors and it gives more protection. Level III armor can withstand 7.62 mm FMJ rifle bullets.
Level IV is for military purposes. These armors can give protection against .30 caliber armor-piercing bullets.
